Four friends drop thousands of dollars on plane tickets, vaccinations, superfluous climbing gear, hundreds of malaria pills, antacids, and probiotics, miniscule sleeping bags, camera lenses, and quick-dry underwear, cram it all into their backpacks, and set out to travel southeast asia for four months.

And looking forward to your coming back to the US on Dec. 30, even though it will be few weeks before I see you, Ali. When do you plan to go to Thailand?
